The BIG move!

On Monday, September 29th I closed on my house. It was not a scary as I had made it out to be, actually it was harmless and easy. Everyone tells you there are stacks upon stacks of papers to sign, I had only about 40 or so. Lance came with me to closing, he has been such an amazing help and blessing in all of this. He has had so much patience in helping me understand all of the financial terms jargon that I have never before heard. I cleaned out my entire storage unit last night and got my kitchen table from Reg. Thanks to Kyle, Daren, Kevin, Mandy, Shannon, MY MOM, Emily, J.P. and Jessica, I was able to move it all into my house. All I have left is my couch and chair, and all of the stuff at my parents house.

In the process of moving in and budgeting, I have learned to restrain myself from buying on impulse like I used to. The lack of having enough money was never an issue, but now I am finding myself shopping cheap and comparing prices at the grocery store in hope of saving even the smallest amount. Today I went to buy toilet paper, trash bags and dish soap. I think that I stood in the isle trying to find the cheapest brand I could. If anyone has any really good tips for budgeting as a homeowner, pass them along!

Sara Evans Concert

Friday we went to the Sara Evans concert here in Nampa. It was me, Jessica, Melissa, Lance, Reg and Iris. It was at the outside amphitheater at the Idaho Center in Nampa. It was a free concert and you had to win the tickets to attend. Free concerts are a magnet for white trash. We saw tons of fat chicks in tight clothing, mullets and endured second hand smoke like I had never before experienced. We had pretty good seats, 40 or 50 rows back I would imagine. The two opening bands sucked, so annoying. Sara Evans was amazing in every sense of the word! Iris was so freaking hilarious, we sure do love her! She was putting gum, trash, spoons and all sorts of stuff in the girls purse in front of us, everyone around us got a kick out of her.

So as we are listening to Sara Evans sing, this chic in front of my little sister Rachel began to cuss her out. I stood up instantly, got in her face and told her that she had better sit down. I am really protective of my sisters, and nobody cusses them out. This nasty girl began to get in my face, I think that I heard her drop the "F" bomb about a hundred times. Next Iris stood up and I thought for sure she would drop her like a fly. Iris played in pretty cool though. After a few minutes, this girl's father stood up, came over and grabbed her to sit down. He acted as if this had occurred frequently for him. I was embarrassed for both of them. All of the sudden, the dad was glaring at me and trying to pick a fight with me! It was an exciting night to say the least!

They accepted my offer....

My new house!!!

So last Friday I sent in a counter offer on my house to see if they would come down a few thousand dollars on it. Since it was over the weekend, they had until 5 p.m. yesterday to accept or counter my offer of $135,000. So as you can imagine, Monday was a long day for me. I would check my phone and my e-mails to see if Shelley had left me a message about my house. On the offer, we gave them until Sept. 8th to counter my offer or accept it. If they did not respond before 5 p.m. the offer would expire. So five o'clock rolls around and I hear nothing. I was pretty bummed, then at about 5:15 my brother-in-law Lance calls me to say they had accepted my offer! I just about dropped to the floor!!!! The original asking price was $139,000, and I got it for $135,000. My closing date is September 30th!

I am looking for a fridge and a washer and dryer. If anyone knows of someone who is getting ride of these items, PLEASE let me know!

Beginning Pre-School...

Keaton is finally old enough to begin pre-school, so crazy to think. I got home from work yesterday evening and the first thing he told me was, "uncle Justin, look at my Diego backpack!" He really is the cutest little guy ever! He made a picture of his family and house for his first day. Keaton then proceeded to list off all of his friends in his class. Little Andrew seems to go wherever Keaton does, he's his little shadow. Here are two pics for his first day of school.

My hopefully new BIG purchase...

So I have been looking for about the last 6-8 months for my own home. After a long wait and extensive searching, I have it narrowed down to just one and here it is. While you are not able to see, it has a huge backyard, perfect for a new dog! If all goes well, I should be in at the end of September!

BSU Football.....

I realize that the first game for BSU football was almost a week ago, but I wanted to post some pictures about the game. A bunch of us in our singles ward had a taco tailgaiting party at Ann Morrison park before the game. Mike Draper was kind enough to make all of us his beer seasoned tacos!!!! The game was hot, sunny and out of control! I sat with Courtney Lebeau, Pat her boyfriend and kaci Wolfe. Maci sat right above us and we had a great time throwing ice and food at Alex Serra and Mike Draper down in front of us, sorry guys! We all had a blast eating corndogs, nachos and drinks galore. We won 49-7, so yeah it was not a close game, but we had a blast cheering on our team. GO BSU!

Im going to be an uncle, again...

So last week were were all sitting in my parent's living room and my sister announced that her and Lance were going to throw a party next April. We all just sat there and were like, "ok?" Then Melissa perked up and shouted, "I'm PREGNANT!" This made much more sense and gave us reason to celebrate. We are so excited for her to have baby #4!!!!!
